okay so today at work...so fvvvvvvvvv

it started off so boring, we've tried to do this fucking reaction over and over, like in 7 different ways and nothing would work. so today my boss tries one last one, and leaves me to do nothing. So i sat at my desk all day reading chemistry journals trying to figure out how to do this reaction. Finally at 2 my boss gives me a sample of the stuff he was working on all day to analyze it...and what do ya know...i analyze it, and the reaction didn't work...amazing. so now my boss is getting all aggervated, because basically we've been wroking on this reaction for a week, and no progress. So its like 3:30 now, and still were where we started...so now we just sit there trying to figure out what to do, my boss hits up the journals (what i've been doing all day). For the whole day i've been trying to figure out how to do this a completely different way from what we've been trying...and finally i just start writing, and BINGO i figure out a synth of this fucking compound...AHAHAHAHA **my boss was secretly pissed :-)** it was a great way to end a sucky day...

we're gonna check it out with a PHD tommorow and hopefully carry it out! wheeeeee!

i should be sleeping now, but my laundry isn't dry yet - SIGH
