i'm writing this blog to delay my trip to the DMV. soon i will have an official CALIFORNIA car! you know what that means right? more nevada license plates for dustin's bar-partment. oooh - the 2003-2004 UCI mini-viewbook is out and i'm in it! fuck i look scruffy. i'm really suprised that they put me in it. i totally look like a chem grad student (imagine that)...hopefully the whole viewbook will have more mateo photo ops :)

LARC is hiring two new people next year - i should be one of them ::crosses fingers:: - jeez getting this job would be sweet for so many reasons.
1. No more job hunting.
2. FULL FUCKING BENIFITS!!! - say goodbye wisdom teeth & cavities :)
3. Pays much more than i need or probably deserve
4. Full access to UCI facilities esp. mac lab
5. Chill job environment - easy work

but i digress...
burningman, was...well...amazing. not good amazing, not bad amazing, indescribable amazing. am i going back next year? who knows? i'd like to say yes, but really i'm not sure. the way i see it is that i have a bit of burningman in my everyday life. when burningman happens all of that stuff gets crammed into one week...well...that is alot to take. getting there monday was a major mistake. if i go again, i will definately be a weekend burner - arrive thursday, party party party and leave sunday. there was some great music (somehow i heard the same techno remix of the eurthymics "sweet dreams" 5 different times at 5 different places - at best that was a mixed blessing) and some great people.
