The OC (tv, not IRL) is more and more like a really bad train wreck. No matter how bad it gets, i just want to look even longer. Despite the negative comments about the argyle sweater i agree with shannon, it is hott.

Less than Jake was definatly one of the best shows i've ever been to. The band played great and the crowd was completely in tune with them. Really the crowd was perfect. The pit was a great mix of skanking & moshing. It was kind of like going to The Specials show i went to a few years ago (pure ska-skank) combined with the Bad Religion show (pure angry pit action). No blood this time, but I've got some nice bruises on my arms.

Thanks to some good budgeting, limiting my pot consumption and not going up north for veteran's day weekend (sorry shannon/rob) I have done the unthinkable. Yes, i now own a snowboard (shudder). Kristine and I drove up to LA for Skidazzle (ski/snowboard expo). My boss let me off early and i drove up to LA at around 3:30. There was a bit of traffic, but the carpool lane allowed us to breeze by the lonely single person commuters with no problem. We somehow made it up there in about an hour and really the only problem was finding where to park. Eventually we just parked on the street and hoofed it to the convention center. Good god there were so many people there. Did a quick run through the main floor and then off to the warehouse selling section. Quickly learned that being tall is evil evil evil. Initially i wanted to buy a used board, but that was not to be as my height kept me away from those boards. I probably could have gotten away with one of the short used ones, but i'd have to buy a new setup next year, so i just went for the whole shabang. There really were only a few boards within my size range, so picking one out wasn't that tough, and really, i did get a pretty good deal for a new board/bindings, so no complaints. Then it was time to get boots. Again, my size became an issue. My 11.5-12 size shoes did not match up in boots. Alas, i was forced into the 13-14 section, which, needless to say was limited in selection. While trying boots on i think the crowds got to me and my jaw started clenching. This doesn't happen to me very often, but i think it is a wierd nervious twitch of mine. Not that bothersome, but annoying nevertheless.

Anyways, bought my gear, hit up all the booths. The lady at the Chile Vacations booth totally hooked it up. I think it is because i said "Chee-lay" instead of "Chilly". After talking to her for a few minutes she said she wanted to give me a special present, a nice pen. It was sweet.
