some days i wonder how on earth I made it through these 23 years (by the way, thanks for all the birthday wishes!) on this planet. sometimes a single simple lapse of judgement can really show exactly where my mind is (apparently nowhere to be found). so yesterday I decided to ride my bike to school. the ride from the new place is pretty good, i can just take mcarthur the whole way - it takes about 45 minutes to get there. monday nights i have my photo class, so i was planning on riding the back back home and then driving to HB to my class. well, when i checked my po box this afternoon i totally left my keys at the post office, so when i got home I had no way of getting in to the house or using my car. so i decided to bike/bus it over to HB. Got to class just in time. Class is finally getting interesting, i developed photos and good god it is difficult. there are 2 types of darkroom - one is the type you see in movies where it is semilit. the other is completely dark. this is where you load the film for development, you have to open the film canister with a can opener, load the film on a new ratcheting spool (the hardest part) then put together the developing can all in the dark. and this isn't like after 5 minutes your eyes adjust to the dark dark, it is just dark. like can't see the hand in front of my face dark...anyways, i had a ton of trouble getting everything together. it took most people 5-10 minutes, but i just couldn't get it. finally i got the teacher to help me out and i was on my way. about half my photos turned out (the other half i didn't have my apature open enough, so not enough light got in to expose them), i'm actually pretty happy with what i've got.

so anyways, back to why i'm a complete moron. so after class i rode my bike back to harbor to catch the bus back home. well the next bus wasn't coming for 20 minutes, so i went to a chinese fast food place to get something to eat. there wasn't anything to lock my bike to, so i locked it to itself - *SNAP* "FUCK! My KEYS!"

So now i'm down harbor with a bike that is locked to itself (that way it would be difficult to steal )

So i wait for the next bus, throw it on and ride up to MacArthur. I figured if worst came to worst i could wheelie it all the way home, but lucky for me, eric was home and could pick my moronic ass up...thanks buddy!

This weekend is looking to be a HUGE amount of fun. I'm definately excited.

Honor's day wasn't bad at all - which in the context of honor's day, means it was freaking great. Kind of made me sad because i realized that I am getting too old to give tours, my facts are SO OUTDATED it is silly. but as always it is good to see the old reps (and the new ones). I found out i get to mentor a new rep next quarter which is exciting. Last quarter doing this shit, better make it good! Line of the day: (watching honor's kids throwing a tennis ball back and forth) "I wonder if this is what people did before computers" *sarcasm?*
