I was listening to the news today and they reported that a total of 37 prisoners in iraq and afghanistan have died while in US custody over the past year or so. THIRTY-SEVEN. 37. Some were blamed on natural causes (which is reasonable) and others justified homocide (also reasonable)...BUT THIRTY-SEVEN?! Am i overreacting? This seems like an awfully high number. Maybe the domestic prison system has similar numbers and I never knew it. Apparently 9 of the deaths are being investigated by the military. Hrm...
