Rumble mateo was out in force last night. He has been stuck in the closet for a while not having any fights to break up or altercations to become involved in, but I was glad to find that rumble mateo hasn’t forgotten a thing. Last night though took it to a new level. I was walking home with some (hopefully) new friends and we see the passengers from two cars out on the street trying to kick each others’ (should that be other’s?) asses. It starts getting pretty violent, one guy was slamming this other dude’s legs in his car door – I really just wanted to get these fuckers on there way (they were blocking traffic) before anyone got seriously hurt. I toss my jacket to the guy I was walking with and jam into the middle of the street trying to (a.) not get punched and (b.) get people into their cars when suddenly one of the two chicks in the group gets punched (she had been hitting the dude with her dinky handbag - but FUCK THAT). From this point I’ve picked sides. I grab the guy by the shoulders and yell (seriously yell), “WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT!?”

He replies back something along the lines of “fuck off, mind your own business”.

Gripping a bit harder. “NO! FUCK YOU. DON’T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE”

[the ever present advantage of being 6’4” came in especially handy here]

By this point he is the only one remaining out of his car, he gets in and they try to zoom off – (tragically) I’m standing in front of the car and end up on the hood, (luckily) they weren’t far off and couldn’t get enough speed to really do any damage.

I walk the chick who has some serious shock going on over to the side of the street. We sit her down and do our best to calm her down. About 15 minutes later we send her on her way with the people she was in, and I get a handshake, hug and genuine thank you from the dude she was with.

Aaaah good times.
