god i love the internet. i just downloaded skype. amazing. the future is going to be awesome, though we're still lacking on the back to the future 2 hoverboards, i'm still quite impressed. this also scares me, i think (i know) that in the near-ish future technology is going to get too good too fast too this that or the other for me to keep up with. ugh. i suppose it happens to most people, but being raised mostly around computers has tought me how to 'read' computers, i see older computer users (mom, aunt) and they read the screen the same way that they read a book. although this works, it is annoyingly inefficient. i reckon the same will happen to me when the 3d sort of displays are developed a la the recent 'not-to-distant-future' films. scary.

read an interesting story in the guardian today. they reckon that quality papers will go free in the not too distant future. make a good argument for it. either way, my only worry is the eventual transfer to a strictly electronic format. i enjoy my paper in paper format and hope that it stays that way. maybe someone'll develop some sort of machine that prints on demand, that way rather than getting the whole sunday bulk you could pick and choose not just the sections, but the sections from each paper that you like. hrm. i should develop this myself. could be huge. prevents waste and wouldn't be too tough to implement - imagine it globally. i could read the times news review, the la times comics, the travel section from all the papers - etc etc.

FAKE BOOBIES! EVERYWHERE!!!
