so since i've been back, i've oddly been missing the family MUCH more then when i was living in scotland. so when i decided to head up north, i popped off an email to the folks inviting them along, not thinking they'd actually be able to make it. Troopers that they are drove over on saturday and made it a kladney reunion. They took d and me to an awesome diner on the coastal cliffs in the south side of sf before we all headed to the UCI bball game against USF. guess what. we lost. it actually kind of depressed me. i guess that is the joy of being a fan, you win and lose with your team. bastards. darren fells our big man in the paint - useless. nic campbell did alright, but without darren, there was no chance.
speaking of basketball, i was greeted with a nice reminder of my knee issues this morning when the news was reviewing the sports. google or youtube "clippers knee" and you'll get to see what i experienced two months ago - only at a punk show.
after the game the kladney/shafae powerhouse moved the bball party to a local sports(ish) bar to watch the nevada game. it is nice to support a winning team, but i'm not quite as emotionally involved with the wolf pack as i am with my eaters. during halftime dustin and i grabbed some pizza and i flirted with the dreadlocked pizza girl. yes. i mean no. awe hell, i do mean yes. nevada won (again) and our bruised egos were slightly ameliorated.
naptime. and you know at the penthouse that means just about the opposite from actual napping.

You'll be more "emotionally tied" to the 'pack when NCAA tourney time rolls around. Oh, and my poor wildcats are sucking up this year too.
