alright, so anyways, we've finally made it to colorado and we've settled into our place. we set the alarm for 8:00 so we can be on the mountain by 8:30-9:00ish. Head out there and hit the mountain up. Good times, the snow was pretty good and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. pretty quick tho my roomates and i got seperated, so i go exploring. as a whole i'd have to say brekenridge wasn't all that impressive. if there had been more snow i'd probably have liked it alot more. about a quarter of the hill was closed due to not enough snow, and i really wanted to hit up those closed areas (tree skiing and whatnot...). the design of the mountain is also not so great. it is pretty tough to get around the hill because of the way it is designed. anyways, i ski around, there are some pretty good hills, but again, i'm not super impressed. i finally catch up with georgiana, megan and crew, so we end up spending a few hours on the hill together. breckenridge is designed kinda wierd. you can't reach the top of any of their mountains without hiking (which is fine by me), but their whole hiking area was closed off, and the highest place you could head to was accessable by a T-Bar only. so the group of us (2 skiiers and 6 boarders) *try* to do the t-bar thing. well, if you've ever ridden a t-bar, you know it is not designed for snowboarders. riding up a t-bar is totally doable on a board, but its tough for someone who's never done it. so i'm the first one on the thing and i'm jsut fine, wehn i make it to the top we only have 2 skiiers and 1 boarder. everyone else ate it on the way up haha. so we head down that run and try again. same thing happened! anyways, continued skiing at breck, but i was glad for the day to be over. it was a good day all in all, but much more snow was needed, and i was looking foreward to trying the other resorts in the area...

okay, MT study time
peace out kiddies :)
