so a few weeks ago I played in the last softball game of the season. we'd already wrapped up the number one spot in the league tables, so deciding to have a little fun we made the game black tie fancy dress. this isn't to say the game wasn't important, as this team was the only team we'd lost to in the season, so a bit of honor was on the line. saying that they did outdress us, quite impressive collection of wigs they've got on hand. initially we had a great run racking through our whole batting order in the first inning. after that the other team got their act in order and slowly chipped away at our lead catching up with us at the end of the top of the last inning.

and guess who got to start the bottom of the ninth (seventh actually)?

i ended the hornet's season beautifully! yeah! and it was not even a home run helped by poor fielding by the other team. a clean well hit number.
