met the dems candidate for the 48th congressional district last night (steven young). wow. needs an image consultant more than ever. i know that the political process is more than a beauty contest, but c'mon, this is america and fer fucks sake, this is orange county. 1. DON'T be wearing your bluetooth headset thing while talking to potential voters, not only do you look like you're not giving the dude you're talking to 100%, but everyone who can see the damn thing thinks you're a douche. 2. control the shakes while giving business cards out and shaking hands. parkensons? nervousness? neither is particularly good to give off a sense of leadership. 3. don't don't don't put this pic on the front page of your website. i'm sorry, there's gotta be something better. there's got to be. 4. act leaderly. you've got some good ideas, use them, don't act like a kid in your dad's suit going to prom with your third choice girl.

this dude's on the right track...just needs some pushes in the right direction...ya know, maybe he'll have a chance...if he weren't in orange county...specifically south orange county.
